Ballet

Neko started ballet classes last week with her little buddy Julia. Our shy girl proudly displayed her pirouette in front of the entire class. Most importantly it seems her Dorothy costume has finally been tossed aside! Yeah! And now she wears her ballet clothes everyday.

Happy Anniversary Neek Neeks!

Two days ago P and B celebrated their 7 year wedding annivesary. We toasted with chocolate and champagne all while soothing a screaming baby and begging a willful three year old to return to bed. Seven years ago we would have never imagined this scene but now wouldn't have it any other way. Well...maybe a babysitter would have been nice.

Delightful conversations

Neek engaged me in two, um, well atypical conversations over the last few weeks. Let the creepiness ensue:

FIRST
Neek: "Mommy, hurry we have to run," as she is smiling.

Mom: "What are we running from?"

Neek: "The babies. We have to run before they eat us."

Mom: "Where are the babies sweetie?"

Neek: "In the living room."

Mom: "What do they look like?"

Neek: "Skeletons."

SECOND
During lunch

Neek: "Mommy, don't talk so loud."

Mom: "Why not sweetie?"

Neek: "We don't want to wake up the lady."

Mom: "What lady?"

Neek: "The lady in there," pointing to the living room.

Mom: "What does she look like?"

Neek: "I don't know but she's sleepy."

We are now considering having our living room exorcised. Yikes.

Neko wears things on her head. Any object that will fit or balance she will wear it. No, she MUST wear it. There is no stopping her. This is one of I'm sure many installments of yet another reason we love this quirky little girl.
