Spring Break 2010 Y'all!

So on a beautiful Spring day we ventured forth for our first road trip as a foursome (and lived to tell the tale). The girls handled the nine hours in the car quite well as we traveled to Belzoni, Mississippi (Catfish Capital of the World) for the 35th annual Catfish Festival. Highlights included Grammy's incredible down-home cooking (with Neko's patented strawberry and bacon sandwiches), eating plates of fried catfish in the shade of the courthouse, Inky the fabulous (and creepy) balloon tying clown, the catfish queen pageant, Tiger Woods not winning the Masters, and of course, the main attraction, Grammy and Big Daddy's fifth annual crawfish boil (450 pounds of crawfish, enough to wear down even the biggest lover of mudbugs). It was a beautiful weekend to be in the Delta and it was a wonderful trip. And we learned that our two adorable daughters are wonderful for car trips for the first eight hours. After that all bets are off.

Inky and Neko. She refused to sit until she received a balloon.

Lady at the local beauty shop tells Momma, "ooh wee, what a good Daddy you have there." I would agree.

Good morning.

With less than 48 hours turn around Momma set off with Ever May to visit her dear friends Aunt Elizabeth and Uncle J-Dog in Gainesville, Florida, trusting the welfare of Neko for the first time solely to Daddy. Ever did beautifully and Neko did um, fairly well. Now we are eagerly awaiting our trip to the Florida gulf coast in two weeks.

An invigorating game of Clue!

We enjoyed our tapas and sangria very much.

1. You guys all look wonderful.
2. Babywearing men are hunks.
3. If 8/9hrs in the car are OK, drive faster.
